Big Blue Door is an open source digital agency that has been delivering transformational services across the public sector since it was established in 2012.
We are based in central London in the UK, and work with a wide range of clients including central government, local government, charities, the NHS, Emergency Services, cultural organisations and the voluntary sector.
We are a full stack agency, providing the following services:

- Hosting
- Support and maintenance
Our delivery frameworks include Drupal, WordPress and Wagtail, and we primarily use Amazon Web Services for hosting.
All our services meet the Government Digital Services Service Standard, and we adopt principles from the service manual wherever possible. We have passed a number of NHSX and GDS service assessments, and work to the latest accessibility guidelines.
Our multidisciplinary team includes a range of skills including strategy, UX / UI, creative design, technical development (backend & frontend), devops and product delivery. Each project team is specifically assembled with your needs in mind, and we can complement the skillsets of in-house teams or work with wider agencies.
Our distributed team is split across the UK, Canada, and Ukraine, and can work remotely when they wish. We operate flexible working practices, allowing team members to work around child care needs as and when required.
We do not use zero hour contracts and never will.
